Ingredients
Simple ingredients are that make this bacon ranch chicken wrap truly flavorful and easy.
- Chicken- Feel free to use any leftover baked/boiled or grilled chicken or rotisserie chicken. Any leftovers will do; just make sure to use shredded chicken, as it will be better for the overall flavor of sandwich wraps. I prefer to use freshly bought chicken breasts or chicken tenders from the butcher and cook them in spices until juicy inside. You get the idea!
- Tortilla Wraps- There are so many types of tasty wraps available these days to fit any taste and type of diet. Not in the mood for a plain tortilla? Try making these wraps with spinach tortilla wraps, or another flavored wrap. Have a low-carb dieter in your home? Pick up some of the low-carb tortillas so that they can enjoy this tasty meal too.
- Cheese- The recipe calls for shredded cheddar cheese but that is certainly not the only kind of cheese that you can use here. Some of my suggestions include Gruyere, Gouda, Parmesan, or Havarti cheese.
- Slices of bacon - Don't miss this one! Crispy bacon with a combination of juicy chicken and creamy ranch dressing is simply irresistible! Want to really wow your guests? Add blue cheese cubes in the ranch dressing - my absolute favorite winner chicken dinner!
- Ranch dressing - you either want to use a premade ranch dressing or mix your own with a packet ranch dressing, both are good here. I actually like to combine plain yogurt with ranch packet for a healthier meal and I use bottle ranch dressing that's always in my fridge for those busy weeknight dinners.

How To Make Chicken Bacon Wrap
Season chicken breast on both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.
If needed, pound the chicken breast (cover with plastic wrap prior) lightly to ensure even cooking. Set aside.
Crispy Bacon. In a large non-stick pan without oil cook bacon slices until desired crispiness and set aside on a plate lined with kitchen paper towels to remove the excess grease.
In the same pan (with bacon fat) over medium-high heat cook chicken breast until beautifully golden brown on both sides (about 4 minutes on each side).
Add cooking oil if needed in between batches. Set aside and cover with foil while you prepare the wrap ingredients.
Assemble the wraps. Add about 2 tablespoons of Ranch dressing on each tortilla leaving about 1 inch on the edges.
Follow with lettuce across the whole surface, tomato slices in the middle, and cheddar cheese on top.
Next add 1 bacon slice, top with cooked chicken breast (sliced or whole), and one more bacon slice.
Fold the sides first parallel to the chicken breast and start rolling the wrap from the bottom up holding the folded sides tightly with your fingers at the same time.
Optional: place the uncut wrap on a dry pan over medium heat and cook quickly until golden brown on both sides.
Use a sharp knife to cut each wrap in half. Enjoy as is or with more dipping sauces.
We love it with out creamy Avocado dip.

Tips
- Use burrito-sized tortillas to make your chicken bacon ranch wraps. You can also make them with smaller taco-sized versions, but they will be harder to wrap. The flavor of these is so good that bigger will be better!
- Preparing these wraps too far in advance is not recommended, as they will get soggy. However, you can have all of your ingredients cooked and prepared ahead of time so that you can make them right before serving.
- Don’t overfill your wraps. You want your crispy chicken wraps to be full of these amazing ingredients but you also want them to stay wrapped while they are being enjoyed instead of having a mess on your hands.
- Serving ideas. A good hot sauce or red pepper flake drizzle on top of this chicken wrap is always a winner! (However, be cautious when serving for kids!). As far as the side dishes go, you can never go wrong with classical French fries, potato chips, and pasta salad.
- Don't like or have ranch dressing? No problem! My Honey Mustard is another great creamy sauce alternative!
- While this recipe calls for chicken, you can substitute leftover turkey breast if you have some already prepared. This recipe is versatile and perfect for using up any leftover chicken, turkey, or deli meat in the refrigerator.
- If you want to add more vegetables to these wraps you could easily throw in some diced red onions and green bell peppers. If you like it spicy you could even add some diced jalapenos. You only need small quantities without overloading the chicken wraps.
Freezing and Storing Instructions
Once chicken wraps are prepared, I recommend consuming them within 1-2 days. Keep them refrigerated and in an airtight container.
Meal prep. Chicken and bacon can be cooked a day or two before.
