👉 How To Use This Meal Plan
- Start with the plan. Look through the weekly meals and decide if you want to follow everything as written or swap a few recipes based on your schedule or preferences.
- Save or print everything. Download or screenshot the meal plan and grocery list so it’s easy to access during the week, especially while cooking.
- Check your pantry first. Go through the grocery list and cross off anything you already have or don’t need. This keeps your shopping simple and avoids extra trips.
- Shop smart. Grab everything in one trip. The list is organized by store sections to make things faster. I usually shop at the start of the week so I can prep a few ingredients ahead.
- Cook and adjust as needed. Follow the plan, but keep it flexible. And if you try a recipe, feel free to leave a quick review or comment — I always love hearing how it turned out.

💪 Meal Prep Tips
You can prep these things in advance to make cooking throughout the week even easier:
- Cottage Cheese Pasta: I like using a small high-speed blender for the cottage cheese sauce so it turns extra smooth (this is the one I use).
- Cabbage and Bacon: A splash of apple cider vinegar at the end brightens the flavors.
- Cook once, use twice. Make extra chicken at the start of the week and use it for both casseroles. This cuts your cooking time in half on busy nights.
- Chop vegetables in advance. Slice onions, carrots, celery, and cabbage ahead of time and store them in containers. This makes dinners like the soup and cabbage skillet come together much faster.
- Prep potatoes early. Wash, peel, and cube potatoes ahead of time. Store them in water in the fridge so they don’t brown.
- Use shortcuts when needed. Rotisserie chicken works perfectly for the chicken and rice bake and casseroles. It’s one of my favorite time-savers.
- Measure spices ahead. For the soup and stew, you can mix your spices in a small bowl ahead of time so everything is ready to go when cooking.
- Make soup or stew ahead. Both the Tuscan soup and beef stew taste even better the next day. You can cook them early and reheat when needed.
- Keep toppings separate. For casseroles like the Ritz chicken, add the topping right before baking so it stays crispy.
🌱 Why Meal Plan?
Meal planning isn’t just about organization…it’s about freeing up your mental space and making cooking more fun! A few reasons we swear by meal planning:
- Save money without overthinking it. Having a plan helps you stick to what you actually need instead of throwing random items into your cart.
- Make evenings feel easier. No more last-minute “what should I cook?” stress. You already know what’s for dinner, which makes the whole day feel lighter.
- Eat better without trying too hard. When meals are planned, it’s much easier to include balanced ingredients and add more veggies without extra effort.
- Use what you buy. You’ll stop forgetting about ingredients in the fridge. Everything has a purpose, so less food goes to waste.
