Ingredients
  

  • ½ pound puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, like Philadelphia
  • 1 tablespoon almond flakes, toasted
  • your favorite jam, for serving
  • avocado oil, or olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Prep the dough: Lightly flour your surface and cut thawed puff pastry into squares (I do 2½ x 2½ inches).
  • Preheat waffle maker: Brush with a little oil.
  • Cook: Add the squares to the waffle maker (4–6 at a time, depending on size). Cook for about 4–5 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  • Serve: Top with creamy cheese, almonds, and jam—or go savory with ham, cheese, or sour cream.
