Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen cheddar pierogis
  • 1 16 ounce jar of Alfredo sauce
  • 14 ounce kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • ¼ cup scallions, sliced
  • 2 cup Colby Jack

Instructions

  • Preparations. Preheat the oven to 350° and spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Assemble the ingredients in the casserole dish. Place half the bag of pierogis in the baking dish and spread it around. Pour half of the Alfredo sauce on top of the pierogis. Add half the sliced kielbasa on top. Sprinkle half of the scallions on top as well. Add half the cheese on top and now repeat all the steps starting with the pierogis one last time.
  • Bake. Spray one side of aluminum foil with nonstick cooking spray, cover the baking dish with the foil (greased side down) place in the preheated oven, and cook for 20 minutes. Once done remove the foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes until bubbly. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • To Store in the Fridge. Let the casserole cool down before placing a foil or plastic wrap on top to cover it, or transfer it in a lidded container. You can keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • In the Freezer. Wrap the pierogi casserole tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil before placing it inside a freeze-friendly container. Pierogi casserole can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 to 3 months.
  • To Thaw. Place frozen casserole in the fridge overnight. Reheat using the oven at a low to moderate temperature (around 325°F or 163°C) until it's heated through. Make sure to place a foil cover to prevent the top from overbaking.
