Preheat oven to 350°F.
Coat chicken with barbecue sauce and set aside.

Combine butter, parmesan, and garlic powder; set aside.

Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Place bottom Hawaiian rolls on sheet, layer with cheese, chicken, onion, and more cheese, then top with rolls.
