Enjoy a fun twist on hot chocolate with Red Velvet Hot Chocolate! It’s creamy and sweet and it looks great with whipped cream and sprinkles on top. Perfect for cozy days or special occasions.
Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until it starts to steam. Don’t let it boil.
Add the white chocolate chips to the milk and stir until they melt completely.
Stir in the sugar until it’s fully mixed in.
Add 2-3 drops of red food coloring to the milk and stir well. If you want a deeper red, you can add a few more drops.
Keep heating the mixture for another 2-3 minutes, stirring now and then, until it’s hot and mixed well.
Take the saucepan off the heat and pour the hot chocolate into mugs.
Add a dollop of whipped cream on top of each mug.
Sprinkle some red and pink sprinkles over the whipped cream for a fun touch.
Serve right away and enjoy your tasty, festive Red Velvet Hot Chocolate!
Notes
If you have extra red velvet hot chocolate, let it cool down first. Then put it in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
When you want to reheat it, do it slowly on the stove or in the microwave, and stir often. If it gets too thick, just mix in a little milk to make it creamy again.
