Shredded Beef Slow Cooker

Easy & Delicious Homecooked Recipes

Perfect for summer potlucks, this slow cooker pulled beef recipe is made easily and turns out beautiful every time. Drizzle with barbecue sauce and serve in your favorite sandwiches.

Cut the chuck roast into chunks and remove excess fat. In a small bowl combine onion powder, salt, pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning all over the beef.

In a large skillet over high heat, add a little bit of vegetable oil and sear the beef chunks until nicely golden brown. Place the seared beef chunks into the slow cooker, add garlic and pour in the beef stock.

Close the lid and cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. When cooked through, remove the beef and shred it with two forks. Remove any excess fat.

Place in a bowl and stir in the BBQ sauce (it is an optional step but tastes delicious!). Sprinkle chopped parsley and serve with buns, baguettes or any sandwiches of choice. Enjoy!
